Freedom Mortgage Blog Refresh
The previous Freedom Mortgage blog was not only outdated but confusing. I was tasked with refreshing the blog and matching it to our current Design System.
Previous Blog UI
Freedom Mortgage Logo doesn't re-direct user to home page. Unexpected pattern.
No back button or way to return to main page.
Navigation bar menu items are replaced by blog menu.
Icons are outdated
Lack of clarity and hierarchy.
Use of links without images make it unclear whether or not these are blog posts.
Incorrectly proportioned picture that links to article without context.
Awkward banner and placement.
Usage of links and bold text for this many article names can be overwhelming.
Picture isn't proportioned correctly. Readers have to scroll halfway down the page to see the content they're interested in.
Inconsistent sizes for article cover images
"Show more articles" barely visible
